NEW LAX Terminal for Delta Airlines

by Shawn L Fitzpatrick

Delta Air Lines will be moving from Terminals 5 and 6 to Terminals 2 and 3 at LAX. This move marks the beginning of Delta Sky Way at LAX, our $1.9 billion plan to modernize, upgrade and connect Terminals 2, 3 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal over the next seven years.

The move will begin this Friday night, May 12, and conclude on Wednesday morning, May 17. As always, Delta’s commitment to their customers will remain a top priority during this time. Delta has taken measures to ensure that the move will be seamless.

Here are the key things you should know if you’re flying with us during the move, during which Delta will be flying out of four terminals:
• Delta will provide real-time updates on departure and arrival terminals and gates to every customer during the move. Customers can check the Fly Delta app or the Flight Status section at delta.com to stay in the know. We strongly recommend travelers access this information before arriving at the airport so that they check-in and process security at the correct terminal.
• Customers can use the interactive LAX wayfinding map in the Fly Delta app for turn-by-turn walking directions and up-to-the minute terminal and gate information.
• Terminal updates will also be provided in real time by Los Angeles World Airports at www.laxishappening.com.
• Directional signage and airport staff will be available to assist travelers’ onsite.
