Best All Inclusive Honeymoon Packages

by John Webber

The wedding is over, the caterers have been tipped, that one relative didn’t fight with that other relative, and you had a blast. Now… relax and breathe. Some of the world’s best hotels offer honeymoon packages that are all-inclusive, so you don’t have to sweat the small (and expensive) stuff for one more minute.

Here is where to get away from it all — and all inclusively reconnect with each other:

Kura Design Villas, Costa Rica
If design matters to you and your love, you’re not going to want a stodgy B&B for your trip. This sleek, eco-friendly Costa Rica spot has you covered. It’s remote, with the nearby rainforest, waterfalls, and beaches providing most of the entertainment, but it is beautiful, with an infinity pool reflecting the changing skies above, views of the ocean from each villa’s private terrace, a slick aesthetic, and a package that includes all meals, cooking classes, and surf lessons.

Twin Farms, Barnard, Vermont
Whether you need a foliage fix during your honeymoon or you just want to be immersed in the New England countryside, these luxe lodgings — which amazingly, date to 1795 — should do the trick. A grand old farm sits on 300 full acres where couples picnic in spring, ski in winter, and fly-fish in summer. Everything is included in the nightly rate except for super-expensive wines and Vermont state tax—right down to the housemade chocolates that might be waiting for you in your room. The food and wine are high-end and top-notch, and rooms are to-die-for old-school right down to the open fireplaces and stone walls. It doesn’t get more New England than this.

Four Seasons Safari Lodge, Serengeti, Tanzania
If your dream vacay is more “hot air balloon safari and elephants” than “tropical sunset emoji,” this could be the trip for you. Candlelit poolside dinners, an all-inclusive beverage program, a hot-air balloon safari (talk about a view!), massages, and two half-day drives are included in this luxe resort’s “adventure and rejuvenation” package, for the we-don’t-like-to-sit-around types.

Huka Lodge, Taupo, New Zealand
Anyone who has spent time in New Zealand will argue that it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world, and for enjoying the petite two-island nation, we love the Huka Lodge in the North Island. Stately and charming at once, with that incredible Kiwi service, this grand lodge overlooks Lake Taupo and the Waikato River. The package for two include massages, trout-fishing expeditions, and a bottle of bubbly, all of which can be enjoyed privately.

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Love Cabo and the notion of private beach cabanas, massages, and attentive service—but hate the idea of being surrounded by hard-partying college kids? Here’s the place for you, a non-break-the-bank option for those who want fresh ceviche, fish tacos, and all the little luxuries of a Mexican vacation without the crazy expense or the hubbub of Cabo. It’s adults-only, to boot.

Jumby Bay, St. John’s, Antigua
Turquoise waters? Check. Sunset catamaran cocktail cruise? Check. Rum tastings? Check. Sea turtles? Check. If you’re a fan of the Caribbean, Jumby has everything you want in spades, and the all-inclusive here doesn’t stint: Top-shelf liquors are a-OK, too. Jumby’s package for two includes a private yacht ride, a welcoming glass of Champagne, couples’ spa treatments, and moonlit private dinners, but more down-to-earth pleasures—like watching Hawksbill sea turtles come onshore to lay their eggs—are pretty darn special, too.

Likuliku Lagoon, Fiji
Some all-inclusive resorts phone it in on the food front. Not here: Local snapper, prawns, pork, cassava, and coconut make cameos, and the super-fresh juice bar is a guest favorite. Tiny shacks called “bures” positioned on stilts over the water provide both privacy and incredible views. The primary thing not included are drinks, so you might want to buy a couple of bottles of duty-free wine at the airport on the way here. A super-friendly staff and snorkeling opportunities galore are the icing on the cake.
